I added this to my new Accord and it fits great. I haven't had any issues with the USB charger I use getting in the way as others have reported, but I can see why this could be an issue. It definitely dips near the AC connector at the bottom of the armrest but doesn't really block it, that's because it actually has some depth. To give you more clearance, they would have to remove usable space from the tray, which I don't think is a huge compromise. For people having trouble with their USB chargers, all I can suggest is to look for fewer. Personally, I use one of Anker's two fast charge ports and haven't had any issues.
