This is definitely a BIG holdall, more than a handbag but just what I wanted for my next trip abroad. In fact, it's big enough that I can carry my new Travelon East West shoulder bag in it when I travel on planes and it still fits under the seat easily. I like the zip feature that allows you to slide it over the handle of your suitcase , and I think it will make it easier to get through security and customs, and also allow me to get through the airport more easily. There's plenty of room inside for my iPad, cosmetics, prescription meds, reading material, a light, folded sweater, and more alongside the aforementioned large pocket (which I use more for day trips and plan to keep the larger one). There are two things that could be improved. #1 Why isn't there an outside pocket on the front of the bag, preferably a huge one?! I can't believe after all the careful design someone didn't figure this out! Especially since the back pocket is small and cannot be used at all when both zippers are open to slip over the suitcase handle. #2 Why can't the shoulder strap be longer? You can adjust the strap, but if you are tall, fat, or wearing a coat, it would be much more comfortable if the strap was longer! The length of the Travelon Crossbody is easily adjustable by 10-12 inches. Another question: Why does Basic Black cost MORE than other colors? In general, there are more pluses than minuses! I'm sure it's perfect for the most difficult part of a foreign trip: navigating the airport. I expect it will come in handy on many of my bus and train trips as well. And of course the most outstanding feature is the safe storage of your belongings.
