Govee plugs are fine if they work. You do what I need. Android app can work with plugs and water leak detectors. I haven't tried any fancy programming - just on/off. And this is where I run into problems. Govee plugs often lose connection with the base unit and won't reconnect until I turn them off. I have a pair of Govee water leak detectors two feet from one of the Govee connectors and the water detectors either don't lose connection to the base unit or are able to reconnect. I can't say it's a problem. with Govee connector or Govee base unit. But as mentioned, water detectors don't seem to have the same problem. This may be unrelated, but our homeowners association's network has been having hardware issues lately, causing the internet connection to become random. Can't tell if this is causing the Govee connector issue (it seems unlikely), but who knows what the software guys did. Maybe the outlet or base station needs a 100% reliable internet connection 100% of the time.
