I just installed two pairs of these speakers in my 2007 Bayliner 175 (I/O). Two at the stern where the original speakers were installed and two at the bow, in the new holes. I replaced a set of Memphis Audio Marine 6.5" speakers - I don't remember the price of Memphis but suffice it to say, a lot more than this Pyle Dual 6.5. I have a Sony Head Unit (Without External Amplification) Sony CDXM60UI MP3/WMA/AAC Marine CD Receiver Player with USB Cable for iPod and USB Devices (White/Silver) (Discontinued by Manufacturer) (Wide Open Choke) Me could hear these speakers today at the lake with WOT (approx. 44 mph) with no problem Mainly midrange, although they are "two-way" speakers Bass is soft but clear No distortion when playing songs from my iPhone (e.g .Coldplay, Grateful Dead, Buffet, etc.) Memphis sounded better at low volumes, but they play way louder than Memphis ever did. (Magnet not as heavy as some) and durable. Well, finally, for less than $40 for a set of speakers, I wasn't expecting much - what I got was definitely my money's worth, and then some! whether they will perform this summer and in the future.
