Edit. I've had cats with urinary tract infections in the past and it's horrible. This litter needs to be better for both cats and the environment, so I am fully committed to making it work. I've re-ordered this and will start with a layer below her normal filler and just see what happens as I start blending it in little by little. If that doesn't work I'll try removing another filler. My cats still don't seem to recognize it as kitty litter. They were in a box, but none of my nine cats peed or pooped in any of the big litter boxes made out of that stuff. I hope they get over it and give it a try. I will try to revise my review if this is the case. This was changed after 2 weeks. It has been exactly 2 weeks since I installed the boxes and none of my 9 cats have used this litter. I suspect the crystals on the legs are rough, but I'm not sure why. I tried to put them in a box, I pretended to use a dustpan. nothing helped. At first 2 of my cats went in crates but they never peed in and will not go in again.
