When I woke up in the morning to the news that sounded well above the comfortable volume I had set, I was terribly surprised. I called Jensen Electronics to tell them that the volume increased when the clock radio was turned on and how to stop the volume from increasing. They replied that the radio was programmed to get louder when the alarm went off. So if you like shaking when your radio is on, then this is the machine for you.
