This trigger is perfect for my purposes. I use it for laser skin ablation in my aesthetic business. It's very powerful at the highest settings, but I rarely use it at that level. Even on low settings, it effectively sucks up the smoke generated by the laser as it burns the skin. Pros: It is relatively inexpensive compared to fume hoods used in the medical industry. It features an adjustable suction tube that requires no hands to use (procedures do not require the assistance of another person). It has a wide suction range from very low to very high. It has a remote control in addition to the controls on the device itself. Robust construction. It has four wheels, which makes it easy to move. Cons: It has a short power cord (it needs to be at least 6 feet long). There is a primary and a secondary switch. On the back is the main switch that turns on the device. There is an additional switch on the front panel that turns it on and puts it into standby mode. Inside the filters is a cardboard liner that looks flimsy. In this price range, it should be made of durable plastic for durability. Where can I buy additional filters? The unit comes with 4 extra pre-filters but I need to find out where to get the extra filters (probably from the company themselves). Overall I am happy with this product and recommend it to anyone who needs an exhaust fan to remove harmful smoke (medical or industrial).
