These perfectly sized crystal glasses have a beautiful silver tone and their simple design has the right proportions and elegance. But we understand: they are very fragile. One of my new glasses didn't survive being washed in the dishwasher. In other reviews I read about an owner who broke two of them while drying his hands. In my experience the glasses will withstand normal drinking use but not contact with a hard surface or any kind of pressure. and leave to dry by placing them upside down on linen towels. I don't know enough about crystal to determine if the fragility of these glasses is due to poor manufacturing methods. I remember my mother hand washing and drying her Waterford crystal and treating it with the same care as I treat these glasses. But my instinct tells me that the fragility of these glasses is beyond what can be expected at this price point. However, they are a pleasure to use and I will use them all until eventually they all break.
