This AGM digital food scale has so many flaws that I could write a little flyer or brochure about it. But instead of boring you with a list of all the little things, I'm just going to list the main cons of the scale.1. Unlike any other food scale I have used or tried before, this scale WILL ACCEPT ANYTHING LESS THAN 0.2 OUNCES (OR 0.07 GRAMS). This means that if you're weighing food into a 0.1 to 0.2 ounce container (or even a plastic bag), you can't use the scale's tare function to reduce the container's weight and reduce its weight . so it gets factored into the overall weight of what you're measuring. So in order to use the tare feature -- or weigh anything under 0.2 ounces -- the container you first place on the scale platform must weigh 0.2 ounces or more. (Note that even if the scale doesn't register anything weighing less than 0.2 ounces when it's alone on the scale's platform, the first 0.2 ounces are included in the total weight of anything heavier on the scale platform is, so if you put two things on the scale that weigh 0.1 ounces each, the scale will still show zero, but if you put another thing on the scale that weighs 0.1 ounces, it will show that Displays a total of 0.3 ounces and continues to increase accurately as more weight is added.) 2. THE TRANSPARENT PLASTIC THAT "PROTECTS" THE DIGITAL DISPLAY IS VERY THIN, FLEXIBLE AND GENTLE AND SCRATCHES EASILY. Like I said, I could go on. And further. But those three issues alone make this product smaller than most other digital food scales I've owned and tried. In fact, there are many much better scales on the market that you can buy for about the same price as this one. So if you're shopping for a quality bench scale, take my advice: go ahead and keep looking.
