The outer shell is made from beautifully textured ballistic nylon that resists punctures and abrasion from sharp objects very well. The zippered main compartment is large enough to hold a travel toothbrush case, a full jar of shaving gel and more. The side pocket is deep enough to accommodate less bulky items like toe clippers, nail clippers and odds and ends. The zippers feel solid, rather than the flimsy metal zippers found on cheaper toiletry bags. Both zippered compartments open and close smoothly with minimal resistance. Higher quality plastic inner lining than Dopp's toiletry bag. I downgraded Doppa to hold my shoeshine kit after the inner plastic lining started tearing apart. To clean shaving gel or toothpaste, all you have to do is rub the inside lightly with a cloth, and it seems to hold spills well without leaking. The classic Briggs and Riley bag is better than the leather toiletry bag because it performs its function well and the nylon material does not require maintenance (cleaning and maintenance) like a leather bag. In addition, leather dye does not get on your clothes. 5 stars for now because the company backs their product with a free no-questions-asked repair guarantee. I will downgrade a star in the future if their customer service gives me the hell when I call on their warranty. Update 2013: Not much to say. This bag continues to perform well with no obvious signs of material degradation or fading. The stitching is also well held and I don't see any loose threads, unlike cheaper toiletry bags. I think you get what you pay for. Update 2014: I didn't get anything. He still works like a champ. Update 2015: I initially dismissed the high price of this toiletry bag but it still holds up well after 4 years of travel and resting on sinks and toilet bowls. The zippers still work like a champ and the inner lining has no rips or tears. Go ahead and cry once with your hard-earned money, but rejoice knowing that this bag will give you years of reliable, trouble-free storage.
