Required to transfer photos to an ASUS tablet with full Windows 8.1 with/to an Alcatel Jitterbug flip phone. writes text and shares photos with iphone (haven't tried other brands) but not wifi/internet/email. Both the clamshell and tablet have individual mini-USB ports for data transfer and charging, so they both need to run on battery power while transferring. After some research and questions I was told that I needed an "OTG" (On The Go) cable and I decided to give this cable a try. The cable works great. It has a handy end that says 'Host' and the male mini-connectors on either end are tight enough to keep devices plugged in. The phone's battery will be charged by the tablet while it's connected, so it's a good idea to fully charge both devices before connecting.
