I shared this review of another Blue Squid Face Paint Set because I bought some items for Halloween. So if this sounds familiar to you, it is. I just love this set and that's why I'm sharing a review of both products! I bought some Blue Squid products for the local Halloween festival and tested them on my niece and nephew and we enjoyed it! First off, the color palette is amazing and the coverage this color offers is way better than expected. It has a silkiness far superior to the chalky, watery colors I've used in the past. I expected that given the number of shades included each one will barely cover a child's cheek but then again I was pleasantly surprised to find that after 4-5 uses this particular set still had enough left for a few more and I ' I will tell you that my niece and nephew did not hesitate to use this product, they swallowed it! The qualities I appreciate about this product are that they are non-toxic, although I have told the kids not to get too close to their eyes. They both went crazy and covered themselves in a very thick layer of face paint that got right in the eyes! While I still recommend you take better care of your little ones, I was very relieved when it came time to clean up. Under normal circumstances, you can easily remove the paint with soap and water, like I did when painting. You can also use a facial cleanser like I did on myself. My nephew had applied SO MANY colors. Looking into his face, I knew I should approach the move with more strategy. So I just slightly dampened the kitchen towel and asked him to wipe most of the paint off first. VOILA! A large amount of paint came off and this made the deeper cleaning that this child needed so much easier. And although his eyes were completely covered in blue paint and after the first wash he looked like an '80s David Bowie video character with bright blue eyeliner, a little gentle makeup remover did the trick. I tell you, at first he rubbed this color directly on his eyes and i was very concerned about the irritation - but there was none! What a relief. While I didn't want to test the safety properties of this color that thoroughly, I'm so happy to report that it didn't even bring tears to sensitive little eyes! And since I've had children paint my face, I've also experienced first-hand how easy it is to apply and remove the paint. I was amazed at how well my niece drew my face by hand. I would also like to say that we made this an outdoor activity so the kids could really have fun and enjoy it, but I found color on the walls and kitchen cabinets. The next day! Again I was worried that the blue paint would stain my bright white cabinets and walls. nobody! If you make a product for children, it has to be flexible, safe and stain-resistant. This set meets all of these requirements. Aside from the excellent security and easy cleaning, I really like the colour, quality and value of this paint set. It really offers hours of fun and lots of adorable, colorful, creative faces and happy, smiling, contented kids - and it's the best! Animals and action heroes, although they actually have more iconic elements like little butterflies, stars, symbols, etc. In the end, it was wonderful because the kids loved using stencils for their arms, legs and little ornaments for the face. Stencils are also easy to use, as while not necessarily reusable, they are plentiful and stick. like stickers that make it easier for young children to be successful with their apps. And we have used them many times. You just have to be a little careful when removing them so they don't wrinkle. They will become a permanent fixture in my home for the kids to use whenever they come. I highly recommend this item along with the hair chalk, black light UV set and colored pencils - they are AMAZING for quick, organized creativity. Great products, have fun!
