The swing arm seems to open and close easily, but the anchors that came with the wall mount didn't work well. I was able to get heavy screws into the bottom two holes in the wooden shelves, but I wish I could do it with the top holes because they get the most load when clothes are hanging on a hanger. I tried using the included anchors in the top holes and tightening them with a #3 Phillips screwdriver (don't use #2 as it's too small). When I put them on I regularly checked their holding power and they never opened up enough behind the drywall and held the hanger base well enough. Eventually I loosened the screws and dropped the two anchors into my wall and used the heaviest weight drywall anchors as in the attached picture. If they didn't work I was willing to use the butterfly anchor also shown in the photo. I had to use oversized screws in the drywall anchors to ensure the screw heads were large enough to capture enough metal in the recessed holes in the base. Unfortunately the screw heads didn't allow me to cover these top holes with decorative plugs. After all that I think the hanger is attached to the wall well enough to hold some wet stuff on it.
