This requires another device.

I used this to charge my iPhone 12Pro Max. I bought this to have an extra charger instead of an Apple brick that requires a USB-C cable on one end and a Lightning cable on the other. It requires some input which costs money, defeating the purpose of replacing the Apple brick with this one.
