This case is a bit poor. It looks and feels very cheap, which is to be expected given the price. My iPad 8th generation does not fit well in a case. The four corners are okay, but the straight sides don't grip the device at all. This pulls the side away from the iPad when you pick it up or hold it by its sides. If you wrap the front panel around the back panel and lay the device down, one side of the device will be higher than the other. It doesn't lie flat. The material itself is pretty durable, so if you're looking for a quick and cheap case for your iPad and don't mind a poor fit, this could be the option for you. my devices for a longer period of time. I'm going straight from my six year old iPad Air 2 to an 8th gen iPad. I had Apple's signature version of this case, the Smart Case, which fits the iPad Air 2 like a glove, lies perfectly flat, and looks and feels great. Yes, it was a bit more expensive than this case, but worth every penny. Too bad Apple doesn't make this case anymore and no third party has released a premium version.
