My toddler wears orthotics in his boots. Since it is summer and we play outside and in the water every day, if he spends a lot of time barefoot, his feet and legs hurt. We were looking for a "sandal" or water shoe that offered enough structure (rubber sole, real heel and sides of the shoe) to support his orthopedic shoe, but was breathable and waterproof like a sandal. Sandals are not suitable as the straps on the sides and heels will not hold orthopedic shoes in place. This little shoe is perfect for all purposes. We love her and he loves her. Ideal for playing in the garden and near the water. He can wear them with or without socks. They were exactly as pictured and the size was as expected. He carries 1 small children which I ordered and they fit perfectly.
