10 year old reader. A code reader is a must for anyone performing even the simplest of diagnostics and repairs. This reader is a huge improvement over my old one as it displays error code numbers AND standard OSBII code descriptions. It has a feature to look up manufacturer specific code descriptions but didn't have all of them for the 2 cars I've used it on. The live data is very cool and also something my old reader didn't have. I can look at some data while the car is running. I had to google some of them to find out what they are, what they mean and if I see a problem. This will likely inspire me to purchase a more advanced reader in the future. The instructions for connecting the reader and scrolling through the menu are fine, but they don't tell you how to interpret the data. You can use a longer cable. I could read real-time data from the driver's seat, but it would be helpful if it could be read from the passenger seat. I've tried several times to switch the measurements from metric to English, but still all temperatures are shown in degrees Celsius.
