ATTENTION! I bought this swing in January. So they really didn't stay out that long. Today, May 21, while my daughter was swinging, one of the hooks on the metal chain at the top of the beam broke off and one side of the swing fell off. She fell to the ground. It could have been a very bad situation if she was high! She caught herself, but it really scared her. We looked at the other hook and chain and they were grooved and looked like they might break at any moment. Revine basically said that the return window had expired, there was nothing they could do and contact the manufacturer. I have made. But also REALLY!?!? I'm more concerned about safety and other children who may get hurt than I am about going back! Which I didn't want at all. My kids love this swing! They have a wider and more comfortable fit than others we've had and held up to this point. So if you buy this swing I would NOT use hooks but go with them. We didn't pay any attention to the poor quality of cheap metal hooks during installation. We will buy heavier hooks and keep an eye on them. So I would rate the hooks a 0 but a 5 for the seats and the chains are good quality and my kids love them more than any other swing we have had.
