We got this in the mail early. However, we have collared our 10lb Chihuahua and collared our 12 week old 17lb Labrador/Border Collie. The shock part worked. The remote control squeaks so loudly that the dogs startle, if the remote then the collar. The Chihuahua noticed the shock, but until the shock was taken to the highest level, the Collie/Lab mix felt nothing. After 30 minutes of wearing, the collars died. So we recharged them overnight and went camping to help our pup get used to walking next to our Chihuahua on a leash. The batteries on the collars died (without being used) before we even got to the trails which were 45 minutes away. We tried charging the battery a third time and both dogs lasted long enough to go outside, potty train and come back. Devices don't work at all due to vibration or shock, and remote controls are louder than collars if and when charged at all.
