Oh it's just as effective for stubborn APS as it is for the expensive ones. But the anti-bark feature is useless if you don't like torturing dogs. We got this in the mail early. However, we have collared our 10lb Chihuahua and collared our 12 week old 17lb Labrador/Border Collie. The shock part worked.
