Unfortunately this cable does not extend your microphone, only audio. This means you can hear people, but when you speak, they can't hear you. I bought it to expand my meeting headset and I thought people could hear me because I can hear them but they said they couldn't hear me. Although the quality of the cable is excellent. It didn't tangle and allowed me to move around easily without fear of yanking the earbuds out of the port.
