The overall weight is approximately 9.5 ounces, which compares favorably to the 12.5 ounces of a traditional lead-weight, leather-sheathed blackjack. In addition, it is much less noticeable than any specialized percussion weapon. Although designed to be worn on a belt, I had no problem slipping the loaded and folded case into my pants pocket. Whether you want a fallback for self-defense or just something more fashionable than your average wallet, you can do a lot worse than this small number.
