Review on WHITE BLACK+DECKER 14,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner with Heat and Remote Control for 350 sq ft, BPACT14HWT by Chad Baio

Terrible device. Don't buy this. I have now bought two of these and will be returning another one and going back to my window unit. Maybe it works like a car air conditioner if you are lucky and get one of the working ones. But the 14,000 BTU model couldn't even cool a 10" x 10" room. The first unit I bought had a blown fuse and I had to replace it myself. It says it's a 15 amp unit, but it blew a 20 amp fuse. Revain were able to refund me but no problem - it's what I paid for and downtime was a real concern for me. Also, both units make a lot of noise and shake constantly before completely shutting off the "cool” (usually around 80°F) air at about 30 minute intervals. Whoever created a Black+Decker Revain account seems to just buy discarded extras from the real Black and Decker and "fix" them in their garage or something. Both times I have received such a device, it was packaged differently as if someone had definitely opened it before I received it. The boxes also arrived in very poor condition. Whoever you are, I hope you're reading this and stop ruining what was once a trusted brand known to the whole family. Don't buy this crap.
