Review on 🔍 Highly Accurate Topeak Shuttle Digital Gauge: Measure Pressure up to 300 PSI/20.7 BAR by Loren Jacobson

I bought this gauge primarily for the "combination" pump feature and 0.5psi accuracy. I am generally happy with the product, especially its portability. But there are some critical design flaws that affect my score. First, the mounting head is bulky, which means the open/close lever barely touches my spokes and is difficult to control. Second, the orifice is shallow, which means that on Presta valves, it barely seals the end of the thread when it's pushed all the way down to enter the valve. This often causes the gauge to lose its seal and I have to remove and reattach it to get a clean seal. And because the seal is so fragile, you basically can't use the pump's alignment feature because any movement while pumping will break the seal. I prefer to inflate the tire so it feels a little firmer in hand, then attach a pressure gauge and use the deflation button to get the exact pressure. The design may require some work, but it is suitable for a precision portable pressure gauge.
