My only criticism of this product is that large narrow neck jars are not easy to find and if you can find something larger it is not branded and does not screw on tightly so it does not seal tightly. The problem is with the glass, not the spout. I like to have a pot of iced tea or water on the table during mealtimes, and a quart-sized pot is just right for one or two people. The shape is nostalgic. It's also a bit difficult to open the spout wide enough - you have to unscrew the spout from the jug to have full access to fill/refill. But I love them, despite these concerns they look great and are easy to clean.
