I like the look HATE the remote only option

I thought it would be a great fan for the price but I was misunderstood that using the remote control is optional. My electrician told me it wasn't. The fan can be connected to a wall switch, but a remote control must be used. You have to press the on button on the remote to then use the wall switch, but then you turn on the fan and light at one switch, bringing back the two switches that were currently there from the previous fan. Everyone knows that at some point the remote control is lost and I was told that the fan would stop working.
