Review on Regalo My Cot Portable Travel Bed, Includes Fitted Sheet, Grey, 1 Count (Pack Of 1) by Keith Stuckey

I was confused by some reviews that said there was a hard "bracket" in the middle of this cot. Just wanted to confirm that this was NOT the case with mine. On another review of this same product, someone called Regalo to see why there were so many negatives that complained of this issue. The Regalo rep said that ones with that bracket were from an older model and that the ones shipped would not be that version. The rep also confirmed that this blue one is the same as the pink version.This cot arrived in a small bag with shoulder strap similar to the foldable lawn chairs. As soon as we took it out of the bag it popped into place. Super easy and ready to go. My daughter (3 1/2, 35 pounds) loves it and has been sleeping happily on it at Grandma's for two nights. It comes with a sheet as well. The best way to describe it is a hammock on legs. I added another blanket in the center to make it padded but it's not a necessity.I was not worried in the least that she would fall out. It is so close to the ground even if she did it would not be a big deal. However, if she were closer to one year old, I probably would have put cushions around her.It is sturdy, but in no way can it be a toy the kids jump on. If she doesn't get on in the center, I could see that it might tilt on end. I don't think she'd get very hurt but still.it's a concern. Also, we used this on wood floors and it slides around a lot. Would probably be sturdier on carpet.All in all, for the price I am so happy we have it for Grandma's house and I will probably buy another one for my house for when the cousins sleep over. I think the ideal age for this would be 2-7 years old.I would not leave a baby on it unattended.Also, for those of you sensitive to scents, I would add that the sheet does have a SLIGHT scent. I have sensitive skin and have to wash all clothes and sheets before I use them. I was glad I had brought my own toddler size sheet to cover the cot so that I didn't have to use the one that came with it before washing it.
