Black mold growth is not a good (or healthy) way - Revised

REVISED: I am adding one more star for the seller's customer service response. While this does not change my rating of the brush, the seller deserves top marks for responding to my complaint and email. I would love to do business with them again. (10/16/2020) My last wooden back cleaning brush (different brand) lasted almost 6 years so I thought I'd buy another wooden cleaning brush to replace it. I thought the product was made in Germany with quality materials for almost $30 and the reviews seemed to bear that out. I wasn't disappointed when I started using it. The natural bristles had the right balance of hardness, the handle length was perfect and the natural wood handle didn't slip out of the hand. Everything is fine - at least that's what I thought. Within two weeks I noticed a slight darkening of the wood in some places. I've tried drying out the brush better by putting a fan on it and even leaving it in the sun. Unfortunately, the black mold hasn't gone away. My bathroom shower dries (mop and sponge) after each shower. We have a range hood and the bathroom is never damp. It's not a room problem. This is a product issue. Maybe the manufacturer received a bad batch of wood, or maybe the wood wasn't dried properly. But it is definitely unacceptable for a back scrubber to encourage mold growth. Until they fix this issue, you will not be able to purchase this product.
