Very well made, like handmade, with stiff bristles that I wanted. After 4 weeks I appreciate this brush more and more with every use. The cost becomes secondary very quickly, the pleasant feeling in the hands remains the same, the bristles do not fall out, there are no problems that I had with cheaper brushes. This brush lived up to expectations and they are not high. I needed a natural fiber brush to make it easier on the skin. It's all about the design of the brush's "head" - it could be a lot better. It is narrow and should be wider. Human backs have all kinds of curves and dimples, and this brush head has a hard time compressing those areas. So yes. It's better than the $10 plastic one at the drug store or the corner Walmart. But can it be? Not with a long brush.

I used the brush twice. It was kept briefly in the shower and hung in a dry place outside the shower stall for 3 days between uses. When I first used it there was a huge loss of bristles that were sticking out all over the body and arms, very uncomfortable! I tried wiping the brush with a washcloth thinking it might be an issue on first use that would go away, but that only loosened the bristles. I really like this back cleaning brush because it is made in Germany by real craftsmen, the whole wooden handle is beech and the bristles are real natural pig hair and really are the best for cleaning and stripping the back and shoulders. I bought one of these back cleaning brushes years ago and have now finally bought a new one so they really do last for many, many years. I highly recommend this back cleansing brush, it really is the best for exfoliating and strengthening your back.

I chose this model because I was looking for hard bristles to clean my back. They weren't soft, but not as hard as I'd like them to be. It took some time to get rid of the pig hair smell. But even after a while, this is the last and faintest smell you catch when you inhale. I think the handle should be slightly curved to increase the pressure when working with your back. The brush is similar to the range of brushes I've seen at places like Bed, Bath and Beyond, except they were significantly cheaper. In any case, the big problem with this brush is that it needs to be thoroughly dried immediately after each use. A week after hanging it in the shower, mold started to grow on the brush.
