I love this new cover! I have to say I HATE leather sofas (sorry to those who love their own). I owned it a year ago and sold it for scrap after realizing it was like trying to relax on a slippery rock. Blankets slide, pillows slide, and worst of all, bodies slide in a constant struggle to stay put and get comfortable. a piece of leather that is now the main seat group in our living room. Here we go again. my roommate and I end up in half sitting/half lying positions trying to stay upright. Forget a nap. The pillows just slide off. Oops, the ceiling is missing. The dog also refuses to sleep on it, gives up the fight after about 10 minutes and decides for a hard floor. There MUST be something for everyone who buys a leather sofa out of remorse, just wants to watch a movie in peace, or wants to take a nap?! Enter the Ameritech case! Received it this afternoon and am very pleased to report that it fits perfectly and stays in place as intended. The pinched back causes a lot of friction, which gives me new hope that I will survive the "red leather sofa phase" unscathed. The dog and I are resting together again, and I even pulled out a fluffy blanket that happily twirled around my legs and stayed in place. Reviews of several slipcovers indicate that the compressed backing can peel off in the wash or, heaven forbid, it can stick to your skin and stay in place on the sofa permanently. I can't talk about it, but I'll keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't happen. I bought this particular brand because such reviews were rare. It might not be the cozy, fluffy couch love nest I'm used to, but this cover does EXACTLY what I intended. keep us on the couch again, human and canine family. Thanks very much!
