I ordered this product with the hope that it would be magical and that I could easily comb my hair straight. It wasn't that easy. It took me the same amount of time, if not a little longer, with multiple passes to straighten my hair compared to my regular flat iron. I made one half to compare to the other half with my flat iron. I usually have 2c-3a/b curls. It took away all of the curl but left my hair fluffy and wavy. My daughter has slightly wavy hair (2a) with a straight approach. This product worked well on her and just gave her a quick smooth look. I started with 400 but had to use 450 for my hair. He warmed up quickly. I like that the outer "bristles" cover the hot spots. It keeps the really hot parts covered which makes me feel more comfortable with my daughter. I'm saving for my daughter and as a touch up option after straightening my hair with an iron.
