First of all I have to tell you that the seller of this antenna is the best I have ever dealt with. I called them before purchasing because I was skeptical about the product and the ease of installation that was presented. I spoke to Chuck and he told me that the antenna is aftermarket but made to OEM specifications and that his company tests the quality of all of their products. Anyway, it was the best $20 I've ever spent because everything Chuck told me was true, this antenna was installed in 15 minutes and my granddaughter in the car turned on the radio after I unscrewed the retaining screw removed from the old antenna so it just popped up while I held the old antenna until it completely detached. I then aligned the new antenna so the wire notches are pointing toward the rear of the car like the old one, and then threaded the new mast through the opening in the fender until it was in the antenna box. I then told my granddaughter to turn off the radio and voila, the new antenna cable was sucked out of the new mast as I inserted the metal part all the way into the hole. I then inserted the rubber end of the mast into the hole in the wing and tightened the nut. My granddaughter turned the radio back on and the antenna went in and out perfectly. This is a great product from a great seller so don't hesitate to buy from them, they will answer your call quickly and give you all the advice you need. I'm still amazed at how easy the repair was and my radio is working great again.
