Review on 🧽 OXO Good Grips Dish Sponge Refills with Soap Dispensing, 2-Pack, Yellow, 1 EA by Heather Marie

This is a two part review - the first part is for the seller, in this case Revain. I ordered this product and received two packs of SCRUB dish filler. Since I only use this sponge for my good glasses, I was dissatisfied. I contacted Revain, they are great, they quickly sent a replacement pack of sponges. Revain's customer service has been great. Now we come to the product test. As mentioned above, I only use them on glassware that isn't dishwasher safe, like crystal glassware and wine glasses. I put on one of the spare sponges, used it three times for two glasses each, and the sponge fell off the surface it was attached to! I've had whole sponge heads refusing to stay on the handle and I just sorted it out (rubbers) but this time the whole sponge came off the head - no solution. Dissatisfied! Not only have I visited a few stores where I used to be able to buy sponges, but I found that they only sell exfoliating fillers. Then Revane sends me peelings, although I obviously ordered sponges - so that the sponge lasts for four days? Come on OXO you can do better! Should I be concerned about the quality of OXO products? I have been using this product for over 12 years and so far it has been reliable. As for my choice of stars. If I had written a review 3 months ago it would have been 5 stars, I was very happy with the product. I have to replace the whole handle every few years and replacement sponges last about 3 months or more. That kind of durability seems reasonable to me given the price and almost daily use. I rinse them out after use, the pen is holstered in my sink to dry. I also run the sponge and pen in the dishwasher (no heat during the drying cycle) about once a week to keep them clean and sterile. It has worked very well for the 12+ years that I have used the product. My only improvement over a 5 star product would be adding an anti-mold chemical to the soft rubber grip and removing the soft rubber "fins" that are supposed to cushion the area where your thumbs rest. Ribs tend to trap solids and are extremely difficult to keep clean. The soap squirts pretty well, maybe too much for glassware, but I tend to wet all my glasses, and one squirt of soap goes a long way for all my glasses. My current 2 star rating is split in two. First, sponges are not available outside of Revain; second, after 4 days of installing it on the handle and using it 3 times, it fell apart?!
