Designed for thin pens or pencils, not thicker pens or markers
Maybe it's made for pencils rather than pens. I bought this to hold my Frixion journal pens and even the thinnest of pens need a spacer between each pair of pens. Also, I wish the suitcase was deeper because I used to have handles on each side of the dividers provided the suitcase was barely closed. To fix this, I removed the markers from the dividers, placed one of the dividers on the bottom of the case to stabilize it, and simply taped the markers over it. Other dividers accommodate thinner pens and markers and are still tight, but not as bad.
