I purchased this dongle in hopes of solving a slow connection issue I was having with the integrated wireless adapter on a Dell desktop computer. I plugged the dongle into an available USB port and Win10 recognized it and installed the generic driver, which didn't work. Following the advice of other reviewers, I searched the internet for "CF-812AC driver" (couldn't use the minidisk that came with it). I downloaded the zip file, unzipped it and ran the installer. Then I disabled the built-in network adapter and restarted. At first my computer wouldn't connect to the internet, but I got a "networks available" message, so all I had to do was select my home network and enter the password, and the device was connected instantly! My connection speed has doubled and I couldn't be happier!
