Review on Faber-Castell Gelatos Dolce II Gift Set: Vibrant 28 Color Art Medium for Versatile Creativity by Jessica Lewis

Gelato is still perfect!

As I wrote in my reviews of other desires (I'm a bit obsessed with them), THIS IS PERFECTION! I love the wide range of Faber-Castell colors presented in this pack. It's like a color fairy went on a mission to find all the colors you might need, then added a few more that you use over and over without realizing it. I create a lot with it and I always find the color I want in this 33 piece set. (28 wishes, 3 stamps, 1 palette knife, 1 brush.) From bright colors you'll want to get lost in, to regular colors everyone uses a lot, and even metallic pairs, this is a set they absolutely love have nailed. It's quite expensive, but when you think about it, you get a lot for your money. For just $2 for ice cream — plus a few tools — you get a wide variety of delicious cream pigments that last forever. Although I keep reaching for them, they hardly look used. The pigments are so rich and deep that it doesn't take long to create something as bright - or muted - as you want. The photo I've attached was the one I added to my review of the Bright set that comes with 12 colors. (This is my favorite set!) Although the house was made with Brights, if you work on bringing the colors down a bit and want a more muted look, it gives an idea of what Gelatos can look like. It's easy to do something shiny and bold, or give that washed-out look that's so popular. That's one of the things I love about these cream wands - you get to decide what effect you get with whichever method you use. There are some videos on YouTube that might give you some ideas and I recommend watching them if you are interested in this source but have never worked with it (or don't know what to do with it). . I've included a few of my favorite tips in my Brights review - and I always wonder if I should refer people to another review or just repeat the information in my current review. In that case, I'll leave these tips for further review, but I'll say they work equally well on light and dark surfaces. You choose whether the effect is opaque, full, smooth, solid and appears to be on the surface of your substrate or the color appears to be part of your substrate as if integrated into the paper's weave. New to crafting or long-time familiar with all sorts of products that come and go, you'll easily find a use for it. Did I mention they are also acid free? Portable? Great to mix or layer? Oh yeah! The effects you can create are truly endless, especially once you start adding water to the equation. Easy to use, apply rich colors to the paper, wood, canvas, etc. (birch wood panel house) you use, endless uses. I get goosebumps just thinking about how much fun is in this box of velvety chopsticks! Ice cream comes in a variety of combinations - some colors come in sets of 2, there are many different color combinations in four packs (each with a brush), sets of 15 themed sticks (pastel, metallic, bright, etc.), one set with 23 double spoons (double spoons are about twice the size of regular chopsticks) and several additional gift sets. You can get a good sense of their awesomeness in 4 packs - they're more than enough to play with (depending on quantity) but a fair price is around $10. Try them, I think you will like them!
