This is my second attempt at roasting a turkey and it was a success! I prepared the turkey as usual, rubbing the skin with spices and oiling under the skin. I put the turkey in the roaster, left it there for 2 hours and bam! As if by magic, a perfectly cooked turkey appeared! The skin is surprisingly crispy! Not sure if baking it yourself is enough to get a juicy turkey. You still need to slather as I found it a bit dry. Tips: Make sure you cook the turkey with a roasting rack underneath. Instead of putting it on the rack after cooking and lifting it into the oven. I made that mistake and it hurt! Do not touch the toaster while it is in operation. It's super hot! Another tip: leave a thermometer in the turkey. The manual says the turkey is ready at 180. However, some parts of the turkey were still at 160 and needed to cook just over 2 hours for a 16.46 lb bird. One last tip: cover the parts of the turkey that will touch the oven with foil. He will burn. This money is well spent!
