The product worked well for exactly three weeks of daily use; It averaged 128Mbps on my home network, which is close to the advertised maximum throughput. After three or a few weeks the product stopped abruptly and had to be turned back on to get it working again. I suspected it was a driver issue and tried reinstalling the drivers from both the CD that came with it and the ASUS website, but the problem persisted. To make sure it wasn't an issue with my firewall, home networking device, or operating system, I reproduced the issue on three different PCs connected to multiple networks. When I unplugged the device from the USB port after losing functionality, I noticed that it was hot. to touch. This problem occurs on USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. The device may be drawing too much current from the USB port. While this may indicate poor workmanship, ASUS hasn't updated drivers since 2017. After seeing all the bad reviews on this product complaining about similar issues, I suspect this product is no longer supported. Do not buy.
