Yes, that's what my wife says in the morning. It's better to be hot, it's better to be fresh and this French Press delivers. The only reason we got this one is because I couldn't find HFD-16 (which makes 16 cups of Liquid Goodness) anywhere on the planet. Apparently this is a new product that is not yet available. Back to the HFD-12 and the good news: I give it 5 stars for its easy cleaning thanks to the brushed stainless steel interior and high-gloss chrome exterior. The press is completely unscrewable for people like me who feel the need to clean the screen. 5 stars again for keeping the coffee hot and I mean hot! Not your bullshit she sat in a hot pot but burn your mouth if you don't blow her HOT for FREE! Even the lid is insulated and beveled on one side for pouring, rotate after pouring to keep hot. We boil water for this in a kettle, thickly pour into the press, wait 5-7 minutes, press and drink. Do you want hot coffee? Run hot water into the press before adding the coffee and boiling water. We did it once but found it unnecessary. Another 5 stars for quality and value. It costs money. When you pick it up, you know you're holding a quality product in your hands. Bad news: my only complaint (and reason for deducting a star) is that it says 1.5 liters and holds 1.5 litres. almost but not quite. That's about 200ml less, combined with the amount of water the coffee grounds soak up, and you get about 1.2 liters of real coffee, which is about 4 healthy cups (two for me, two for her). In truth, it was only worth 1/4 star deduction, but that wasn't an option. If I really wanted more coffee, I would go for the HFD-16. Conclusion: HOT coffee, easy to clean, high quality product, allows you to brew a little more than a liter of very good coffee. Would I buy again if I lose this one.
