This aerator makes LOTS of bubbles! I got it to make vermicompost tea and it works very well for that purpose. At the same time, I bought large stones, so I never tried the stones that come with this pump, but they seem sufficient to work well (for those worried about the lead weights on the stones that come with it make it can be easy to remove). The pump hums like all aerators, but since I use it in the garage I can't tell if it will bother you at home or not. I've read reviews claiming that this pump produces too many bubbles for their aquarium, but I can definitely say it's the BEST for making vermicompost or manure tea as there is NO shortage of bubbles! With dual outlets, I can cook two 5-gallon buckets at once, each with more than enough bubbles. The hose supplied is two meters long and must be cut in half to use both outlets. I put a pump on the freezer in our garage and placed two 5 gallon buckets on a milk crate (a steel milk crate from my dad's store years ago - I did NOT steal it) on the floor next to the freezer. , which allows you to place stones at the bottom of the buckets. Buying a longer tube would allow the buckets to stand up on the floor so I should buy more tubes and maybe most buyers would benefit from more tubes to get the most out of both outputs.
