This microwave has a stupid energy-saving feature that makes it annoying to use. The microwave goes into a "sleep"mode by default. You have to wake it up by pressing and holding the "on" button until it beeps. Then you can use it.So -- while it has a single-button "30 secconds/on" like other microwaves, that button doesn't work until you have first woken up the microwave by pressing and holding the "on" button.This probably saves 2 cents of electricity a year. For most people that would not be worth the extra hassle.Otherwise I have no complaints. The size is compact, the design and build quality are excellent. It's as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. It's a 700 watt microwave so it's not super powerful but it gets the job done. Just enough room for a standard (not oversize) dinner plate.But this standby/sleep feature (which can't be disabled) is almost a deal breaker for me. I'm tempted to return it but I probably won't.
