I bought a 10 pound blanket for my son. His occupational therapist recommended a weighted blanket to help him sleep. I had bought one before but it was smaller and for some reason didn't like it. At night he threw her out of bed. I washed and dried these. It had no smell. It's a good size and a nice anthracite colour, I was able to put it on his bed like a regular blanket so it was less noticeable. My son is picky about textures and it didn't bother him. He actually asked me to put it on him and it was great. I can only hope it improves his sleep! When I bought my first weighted blanket a few years ago, it was very expensive. It's nice to see that they're cheaper and more readily available now.
