I've done a lot of resin casting. I usually use a different, "bigger" brand. I was considering using this Art n Glow for a longer open time first. On the positive side, this resin is really transparent. That is beautiful. On the other hand, I made 3 separate fills and couldn't set it to "hard". Everything felt good. As soon as heat was applied (see here grinding, polishing, etc.), the resin softened. Soft, like in "I can almost bend it into a pretzel" kinda soft. I tried several things to solve this problem. I tried vacuuming off the piece (usually that's really just for blisters, but that's part of my normal process). I tried baking at 150-160 degrees for 12+ hours (which usually eliminated any softness but didn't help). There are enough good reviews for this product and I hope I just got a bad batch. With that in mind, I'm not sure I'd want to spend more time and money trying it out as it takes a lot of time and money to prepare the items you want to throw.
