Bought it as a display for my 2012 Mac Mini (Headless Mac) and also as a second monitor for my MBP. This product has multiple video inputs, allowing me to connect my Mac Mini via HDMI and my 2007 MBP via DVI without an adapter. Switching from one input to another is as easy as pressing a button to the left of the big red power button on the bottom of the unit. Now I can get my Mac Mini to work on Task A, switch the display to MBP, and do other things while the Mac Mini does its job. All normal display settings (contrast, brightness, etc.) can be accessed via the 3 buttons on the bottom of the device. This device has no speakers. You can hardly go wrong with an HD 1080 monitor. I liked this device so much that I bought an LG TV. LIFE IS GOOD (LG). Right!
