Review on Enhanced CableCARD Receiver: Hauppauge WinTV-DCR-2650 Dual Tuner by Josh Jeffries

Dual tuners work great. The only problem was with the cable company. I spent most of the 2-3 hours on the phone while they tried to "turn on" the tuner (repeatedly) so I could watch my digital channels. Being able to record one show while watching another is a great convenience and I don't have to pay for a DVR. Another benefit is that my home network can now watch shows I've recorded on any other PC that has Windows Media Center installed. There was a DRM issue (see some google searches to fix this), but that was because my original tuner (single channel) was previously installed and when I installed that tuner, Windows 8.1 was not DRM compliant. It took about an hour to find and fix the problem. It was not easy. This double tuner gave me no problems. Windows - yes, tuner - no. I just had a popup issue saying I had no channels. I unplugged it, waited, plugged it back in and then restarted my computer and then everything was fine. I think it was more of an electronics issue than a dual tuner issue.
