It arrived today and I've had a few minutes to make sure it works. As others have said, the app DOESN'T LIKE MOTOROLA! I have a Moto phone and decided to give it a try as it is newer than the versions mentioned but it still doesn't work. And that was fine with me since no data connection or cellular connection is required. I am using my previous LG phone as a monitor. When the camera arrived it was charged and turned on normally. I installed the RoadVue 2.0 app with no problems. I connected my phone to the camera signal, then opened the app and, uhhhhh, got a great view of my ceiling fan. Haven't tried it on my car yet, but will soon. I don't expect any problems but will update my review after testing it. I also plan to use it on the back of my RV to set up next to my house. I will also update this experience. And thanks to those who answered my question on how it works, do I need cellular service on the surveillance phone! EDIT: 11/25/19 Still working very well. I couldn't use it to support my camper as the signal from there doesn't reach my car. However, it's great for queuing and that was the main reason I wanted it.
