This is great. I bought it for my two girls 4 and 7 years old. As soon as she saw the 3 sets my 7 year old daughter immediately started reading the box and was excited about all the different buds she could get. They started playing with it and were sooooo happy to get two "rare" golden friends. They were also happy with the other pals they got and loved how you can combine heads and bodies. For the first time out of the box they played with Foam and Pulse for more than an hour. It was the first time in years that they really got along, which justifies the price of at least an hour's peace. However, the next few nights were the same - the first thing they wanted to do was go home and play with Playfoam. They play guess who's hidden in the foam games, build things and just have fun being creative. It's still her favorite after-school activity. This company knows how to stay on top of things with surprise toys and an added rarity element with golden pals, but they also offer a really great educational toy. I will be buying more of these for birthday gifts! Small balls can break off the foam, so very little scrubbing, but very little.
