Review on ๐ŸŽฎ 4PCS Replacement 3D Analog Joystick Sensor Joystick Module Potentiometers for Microsoft Xbox One by Chris Byers

Great way to protect your controller from stick drift

My 2014 Xbox One controller had about 33% stick drift on the right stick. This made the game quite difficult and no other fixes worked so I decided to just get a new module. The modules were pretty easy to install. I desoldered the old ones with a copper wick and the new ones went straight into the board and were soldered in no time. Tested the controller with a test app and they work great. I'll update this if I run into any issues in the future, but for now I'm very happy with this inexpensive solution. Updated 1/4/18. As another reviewer pointed out, this isn't the same sensor module as the stock module. It works great but is slightly different from the stock controller. The joystick has a little more deadzone (the amount of movement in the joystick before it senses movement), and the X to Y transitions are a little more abrupt (for example, if you spin the controller in a circle, it doesn't). perfectly smooth transition in the game). It's not bad, but it takes a little getting used to and you probably don't want to switch between two different controllers. I can still play all my games just as well as I used to, only others might see it differently. I would definitely suggest swapping both sticks, even if one has no drift, just so they both respond the same way, rather than having a standard and a non-original stick. Update 1/25/19 Well after a month of fairly random use I started developing a stick drift in one of them. Luckily there are 4 so I can swap them out, but if I used them all in different controllers I'd be really upset. Forced to downgrade in these
