It broke fairly easily when I first took it out of the box before it expanded so you have to be a bit careful with that. It seems more stable when inflated. I use a cheap mattress topper and it didn't feel hot at all. Overall it's good, comfortable but not one of the best. For the price it meets my needs. Spend a little more for a better, thicker mattress if you have the money.
