This is what I’ve been waiting for in a folio case for my 12.9” iPad Pro: a stable, versatile magnetic stand and safer storage for my Apple Pencil, in a high-quality case that’s a joy to use.There is a learning curve here, as with any multi-mode case, but more so than usual. The entire thing is modular, with a back plate, a clasp/cover for the pencil, and a wraparound folio cover which converts into multiple stand positions. Once you get your head around what works best for you, it’s a breeze, but it’ll take you a few days.My favorite stand position is portrait mode, which works for some angles in landscape. It’s the easiest way I’ve found to curl up in bed and read comic books, watch certain types of streaming content, or go through the days news. Or doomscroll, but… don’t doomscroll.Get this if you’re tired of holding your fairly heavy device up without assistance to read, aren’t in an environment where folding stands help you, and want to be sure your iPad will stay well-protected in nearly any bag.
